Nagpur: On Friday, when most of the Nagpurians were talking high about Prime Minister Narendra Modi who visited Nagpur to quick participate in slew of events, there were few who had a different agenda up their sleeves.
During Modi’s visit at Deekshabhoomi on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, the first among various events, some activists gathered outside the venue and started demanding statehood to Vidarbha. However the security forces took control of the situation. The protestors also raised anti-Modi slogans after he left the venue.
NCP Women breach security
Later, when Modi’s convoy was passing through Wardha Road near Radisson Blu hotel, on its way to airport, NCP women activists led by party’s city unit president Alka Kamble showed black flags to Modi.
Kamble’s agitation has posed a question on police bandobast as sources wondered how the women breached the security to appear before the convoy.
Alka Kamble told Nagpur Today that nation is facing serious law and order crisis under Modi’s rule. Pointing towards the UP government’s decision to waive off farm loan, Kamble questioned Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis inaction over the issue.
She demanded that Modi government should be quick to respond to the farm crisis in the State so that the increasing farmers’ suicides could be contained.
