In protest against the bills passed in state assembly on 2015 August 31, the Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) has said that it endorses the UNC sponsored 48-hour total shutdown, from midnight of 16 May to midnight 18 May, in all the tribal and Naga inhabitants areas of Manipur and the front will support the bandh heart and soul.
In a press statement issued, from ZYF General Secretary Ramgaisinang Gonmei (Tml) and vice-president David Kamie, it expressed its opposition against the against the Manipur Govt. decision to send an all political party delegations to New Delhi on May 16 to impress upon the Central Govt. to made them bills into Acts viz.,-- Manipur Peoples’ Bill; Manipur Land Revenue & Land Reform Bill (7th Amendment), an Manipur Shops and Establishment Bill (2nd Amendment) The statement said since "last year the valley people launched various forms of agitations for a month and a half long on ILP issue, where one student S. Robinhood succumbed to rubber bullet injuries in police action.
