AGAINST ANTI-TRIBAL BILLS

The Joint Action Committee Against Anti-Tribal Bills (JAC), in its meeting today at KKL Complex, IB Road, Lamka with the new representations delegated by the various innpis/tribe councils resolved the following;
1. In continuation of the on-going agitation. Dharna schedule will commence from June, 9, 2016 at Salpha Pumbuuk, Hiangtam Lamka. Detail schedule shall be intimated to the entrusted organization at the earliest.
2. That, the proposed Public Awareness Campaign at Parbung shall be held on a date specified by the Hmar Inpui, the Inpui is also entrusted with making all necessary arrangements for the same
3. That, the JAC shall meet with all the village chiefs - United Chiefs Council, Kuki Chiefs Association, Zomi Chiefs Association - at 11:00AM on June 10, 2016 (Friday) at KKL Complex. IB Road, Lamka to deliberate on the activities the Chiefs can undertake in the Tribal Movement.
4. That, to mark the 300th day of our protest and mourning on June 26, 2016 (Sunday), all Manipur tribal churches and fellowships across the globe shall be requested to observe it as worldwide mourning day by organising mourning program-cum-mass prayers at their respective churches, in the epicentre Lamka, the Christian Goodwill Council shall be entrusted with making all necessary arrangements. The day shall also be marked with a 12-hour Total Shutdown starting from 6.00am to 6.00prn covering all tribal territories.
5 That, all tribal households across Manipur shall be requested to fly a black flag as a sign of protest and mourning, and the same shall not be taken away till the ongoing issue is resolved.
6 That, the families of the Tribal Martyrs and Chiefs shall be consulted, and arrangements be made for their participation in the protest at Delhi to mark the 300th day of our collective mourning.
7 That, the following Task Cells is constituted under the JAC -

b. Motivation and minotoring Cell: Convenor Pu Zam Khua Cin

c. Transport Cell : Convenor: Pu Thangnmang
Co-convenors: Pu G K. Zalal, Pu Thangsang, Pu Scikhopau & Pu Henkholun.
8. That, as a fund-raising exercise, black flags imprinted with the Tribal Movement icon shall be sold, arrangements for the same shall be made by the following - Media Cell, Fund-Raising Cell and Finance Assistant.
