IMPHAL, May 16: In another disturbing incident which highlights the rise of crimes against women, a man beat his wife to death at Nongpok Sekmai Leela Kambong in Thoubal district on Saturday at around 4 pm.
The victim has been identified as Khangembam Ningol Oinam Ongbi Bimna Leima, the wife of the accused Oinam Ngobi, a 66 year old man. Police have arrested the husband. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain why he killed his wife.
