Blockage on NH 37 begins demanding release of arrested-trio
IMPHAL, Mar 13 :
Demanding unconditional release of a trio arrested by Police, the JAC formed by the villagers of Namthanjang Rongmei Village begins indefinite blockade on National Highway 37 from the midnight of 12th march reacting against the government.
The Joint Action Committee demanded unconditional release of Geihemlung Kamei (47), Gaikhanlung Gangmei (42) and Namthanjang Riamei (35).
Today a large numbers of the namthanjang villagers gathered on the National Highway 37 near Namthanjang village and blocked the road. The agitators placed wood pulp and boulder on the roads to hinder passages.
It may be mention that convenor of the JAC Lungthuilung Riamei informed to the media that they will continue the indefinite bandh on the National Highway 37 till the unconditional release of the three church leader who were arrest in charge of rioting and house breaking by night.
